Barrett were a very old picnic set maker, with Royal Appointment. Of the very highest quality construction, but with rather basic fittings, all marked discretely underneath the lids. Barrett always had a prominent leather gold gilt embossed makers plaque inside the lid. Good basic compact set, with unusual leather simple strap catch, and leather straps to hold the support handle.
