To have so many secrets stored in such a relatively small and very simple looking wooden box is truly amazing. The facility for turning itself into a table and also metamorphosing into a card table, really stands this set in a class all of its own. Of wood and brass construction, red leathercloth interior, and the usual full compliment of picnic contents. Even a pack of playing cards was provided. An interesting feature is that the two lid flaps folded outwards to house the plates and spoons. This adds greatly to the visual aspect. Ideally suited for the runningboard of a fine Rolls Royce Ghost, or in the living room of a fine mansion. Compact enough also to be carried, and stowed in the boot of any car. Quite simply this is the very best and my personal favourite of all the different types of picnic sets I have ever handled.
