This set is very grand, but fairly basic in design, retaining its twin Autotherm Thermos flasks, plus wicker bottle and china rectangular plates. This set would have been greatly enhanced by the provision of a kettle and burner, but it is rather a gentleman’s set and would have been more used in a Scottish Stag hunting party, than in a dainty picnic in the grounds of a stately house! Interesting features are gigantic leather carrying handles, and double thickness construction. Surely a purposeful set indeed!
