A rather basic design typical of this maker, Heavy leather straps and a suede lining puts this set into serious monetary value, and being of a good size, is quite useable also. More of a drinking sandwich set than a wholehearted picnic set. It’s nice to see the Barratt trademark in gilt under the enamel plate support. Interesting that a set of this quality invariably used enamel plates, more practical than their Drew china counterparts. The wicker bottle's wicker covering were very finely woven, and the ceramic butter jars were always much heavier than the usual Coracle type.
