Interesting use of embossed decoration to the leathercloth central panel. This was probably influenced by Drew. Nice set, but not of the highest standard. Pyrex glass were cheaply supplied for the bases of the sandwich boxes. Perhaps price dictated the choice of this type of set at the time rather than walking through the hallowed portals of Asprey’s shop in New Bond Street.
