Magnificent 6 person drinks and sandwich picnic set, in fold fronted black case, 28" wide, edged with honey leather and polished solid mahogany fitted interior, with brass catches, strap hangers and central lock. Interior comprising of six very fine wicker covered glass drinks bottles with nickel tops, four matching glass condiment bottles with nickel tops, six matching graduated glasses in matching fine wicker covers, two large lined sandwich boxes with domed lids, six food containers fitted as drawers, lower mahogany pull out drawer. Twelve enamel gilt edged rectangular plates, nest of twelve graduated metal drinks tumblers with gilt interiors, four small hidden compartments containing four butter, preserves, mustard and spice boxes with ring pull handles. Complete set fine cutlery housed in their original leather straps inside the lid, the lid being encased with mahogany. Made especially to fit on the running board or rear luggage rack. of a very fine car. It is very heavy and a very strong chauffeur would be needed to move it! This set is one of the very finest picnic sets ever made. Usually produced especially for nobility, this amazing set is very rare and one of great style and importance.
