This is the smaller version of this firms most popular design. A set with the usual copper kettle, sandwich boxes, cups housed in a hinged wicker covered frame, drinks bottle, glasses, and rectangular enamel plates housed in the lid. These sets were also retailed by Asprey, the only visible difference being with Asprey is the ‘Asprey London’ gold gilt stamp placed centrally on the front side of the case above the lock. Many variations were made, some more simply fitted, others with just a Thermos flask, or flasks instead of a kettle. All cases were virtually identical apart from their size. In the mid to late thirties the design of the case was changed to a cheaper version- this having no impressed mouldings to the front of the case, and dispensing with the front catches.
