31 Hare on Tortoise
Hare on Tortoise - Bronze Hare on Tortoise - Nickel
Designed by H. Payen. 1920. Two styles were produced - this is the rarer, showing the hare nursing his broken arm, obtaining a lift from the tortoise. This gives an extra dimension to the thought provoking tale of the race between the two. The finish on the left example shown is of the earliest bronze type while the right example is of the normal nickel on bronze version. MLG810.
